Mark 10:21

Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

Romans 5:3-5

And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

1 John 4:10

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Because of Love

Last night as I was communing with My Father God, He gave me a revelation that was beyond anything I had ever received before. He told me that the key is LOVE. Love seems like such a simple word, but with God, it’s way more.

He started to bring back the stories of Jesus, and how He healed the sick, cleansed the leper, raised the dead, and much more. Every single thing that Jesus did came from God’s power, and that power is love. God is love. Therefore, Jesus is love, and His Spirit, Holy Spirit, is Love. Anything that comes from Him is love. His love is so mighty that it brings forth power to do the impossible because of WHO He is. Love.

The Lord expressed to me why He had the authority to cast out demons the way He did. It was because He loved the people who were possessed so much that His authority in love commanded the demon to go. It says in the word of God that love conquers all. I believe I limited what “all” actually meant. And in so many unknowing ways I separated God’s love from His power and His word and also Christianity itself at times. I would find myself being so focused on doing the “will” of God, such as raising the dead, cleansing a leper, and casting out demons, acting like Jesus… I thought there was something I needed to tap into, a level of spiritual connection to receive these types of gifts to execute the way that Jesus did. Only to receive a revelation from the Father telling me love was the key to doing all of these things.

There was never a time that Jesus did not love anyone that crossed His path. Jesus came to this earth to show us the personal characteristics of God our Father. He came to illustrate Love Himself. Everything Jesus did while walking this earth was out of love. When He rebuked the Pharisees and the Sadducees, He did it because He loved them. When He raised Lazarus from the dead, He did it because He loved him. He even waited four days to do it so that the people would see and realize who God is because He loved them. When He fed 5,000+ men, women, and children, He did it because He loved them. When He cast demons out of possessed people, He did it because He loved them. When He preached His sermon on the mountain, He did it because He loved the people.

When He died for our sins, He did it because He loves us. When He sent the promise, Holy Spirit, He did it because He loves us. When we allow His love to envelop us and become the foundation of every single thing we do, we prosper beyond understanding because like the word says, love conquers all things. No trap from the enemy can prosper because His love is us overrides everything.

The interesting thing is I never thought of things in this way. When the Lord revealed this to me all I could say was “wow is it just that simple?“ Yes! It is just that simple. The reality is you must seek to know the Father and understand His love first. Allow your journey of seeking His face and His love to consume you. Be obsessed with it. Completely, utterly, psychotically, abnormally, obsessed with seeking the Father’s face and understanding His love. Watch what happens from there. Telling you what the outcome is will spoil the fun. This is a journey you will need to take and experience to understand. Should you decide to take another path, you will miss out on the gift of a lifetime. But I will let you know now, nobody or nothing will ever love you as Jesus does. So logically speaking it is only right for you to seek the love of the One who loves you beyond measure.
