1 John 3:1
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

When I look back over my life, I can now see how your love and promises guided me. Your protection hovered around me while still in my rebellion against you. I believe my grandmothers’ prayers created a hedge of protection and while she may be dead and gone, Lord, you listened, heeded her pleas for my life, and sustained me through it all.
Today, however, I am saved, sanctified, and fueled by your Holy Spirit. Your word is my sword, a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. You told me to seek your kingdom and your righteousness. I have so much to look forward to. My life is full of your promises, I see them now, they came to pass, and more just keep on coming. I want for nothing but all I need is you.
It is the past, present, and future love you show me that keeps me in awe. The root of my loyalty towards you comes from that alone. Eli, Eli! You have never forsaken me. You have held me in the palm of your hand, even satan’s schemes could not destroy me because I am Gods’ special possession. I belong to you oh Lord, you have made that very clear! I am yours.
What a mighty God I serve. I am head-over-heels in love and completely sold out for you Lord! Willing to die for you! For without you, I am nothing. The sum and substance of your great love sustains and keeps me. Nothing will ever separate me from your love. It is all I need yet you give me so much more. I have traveled the world in your name, wore the finest clothes you paid for, ate the best meals life could offer, sat in the presence of royalty if ever there was truly any of that caliber. I’ve done these things with your name at the tip of my lips and in the root of my breath.
My heart doesn’t anticipate what is next. I love how unpredictable you can be at times. Why would I ever resist you? I appreciate our spontaneous experiences in the kingdom together. How foolish would I be not to submit to you? I know your promises and your standard. I’ve seen them manifest with my own two eyes. Proof that you are God and God alone. For that my response to your commands of me will always be a resounding…Yes and Amen!
Yes & Amen
Entering into our relationship, I was oblivious to the love you had prepared in advance to give me. Nonetheless, your living Word became life and because you first loved me, I will declare to all the world of my love for you. What can I say Lord? How can the words of a fallible mortal express how deep your love goes? (for your wife) I will do my best to put these words on paper.
