Entering into our relationship, I was oblivious to the love you had prepared in advance to give me. Nonetheless, your living Word became life and because you first loved me, I will declare to all the world of my love for you. What can I say Lord? How can the words of a fallible mortal express how deep your love goes? (for your wife) I will do my best to put these words on paper.

Listen in as Edmee and Bevelyn talk about their adventures spreading the Gospel in Denver in July of 2017: from ministering to a former pastor who had fallen into despair and alcohol following the death of his first wife, and his new family which was in the throes of domestic abuse; to standing up righteously against Planned Parenthood alongside a couple who have spent the last twenty years of their lives rescuing women from abortion.
More than ever, there is an agenda to bring confusion and chaos in people’s hearts and minds. Anything, any lie, any barrier, the enemy can erect for us to stay away from the truth, he will. His time is up and his only consolation is to see God’s children go down with him. One of the ways confusion flourishes is in calling what is good “evil” and what is evil “good”.
Las Vegas is known as a big party city, but the first thing that hit us was how overrated it is. Las Vegas is just a big city in the middle of a desert. The people who created it must have said, “Ok, let’s create a city in the middle of a desert where people can just get drunk and gamble!” So they dressed up the city with zillions of neon signs so at first glance it looks all glitzy and glamorous, but the after-effects are devastating…
I decided to surrender my life to God on a new level. I chose to step out in faith and do something I believe He has called me to do. However, this year has been one of the hardest years of my life. I faced so many obstacles, struggling mentally and emotionally more than ever before. Going through this challenging season and accepting His call has put me on satan’s chopping block.
In the spring of 2017, we took our second trip to LA while ministering in Las Vegas. We really saw the LORD at work in so many awesome and wonderful ways! The glory and majesty of our God was re-confirmed to us, and we learned once again that everything is in God! It’s in You, Lord!
In 2016 we spent a memorable and spirit-filled week in Munich Germany where we learned that there’s always more going on beneath the surface, and things aren’t always what they appear to be. We, Bevelyn, Edmee and Jessica, were thrilled to go to Germany for the first time.
For three years I’ve been ministering the Gospel trying to convince so many people of how amazing they are. All the while, I would shy away from acknowledging how amazing Father God made me to be. In the back of my mind, I always believed it’d be too cocky of me to think of myself as a star. At 4:42 am on December 15th, I realized something phenomenal, and I have to share it. I am a
Last night as I was communing with My Father God, He gave me a revelation that was beyond anything I had ever received before. He told me that the key is LOVE. Love seems like such a simple word, but with God, it’s way more. He started to bring back the stories of Jesus, and how He healed the sick, cleansed the leper, raised the dead, and much more. Every single thing that Jesus did came from God’s power, and that power is love.
At this very moment, I can honestly say I am aware of how much God loves me. All my life God has spoken to me, but because I did not have His spirit in me, I could not understand what He was saying. The beautiful thing though is because of His grace; He never stopped speaking to me.
When you serve a living God like mine, there is never really a time when you’re not compelled to be thankful. Every moment is usually a moment where you will come to the Father with thanksgiving because of all that He is and all that He does. Our thankfulness is such a delight to Him. He inhabits the praises of His people. Imagine how most fathers feel when their 4-year-old tells them “You’re a good dad!”
Our experience in Washington DC is evidence of the Lord’s faithfulness, mercy and boundless love towards us. All glory and honor be to God who made our first ministry trip and journey to Washington a success. He was with us all the way, through thick and thin.
Baltimore was memorable. Whether it was ministering to the youth, drug dealers and users, or literally having church in the Park with homeless people, our experience in Baltimore really impacted our ministry. One rainy day we decided to go to the mall to see if there were people we could minister to.
Father, thank you for anointing us with the oil of gladness! You were glad when you set us apart from this world. You gave us joy unspeakable and full of glory. Jesus, thank you for being our joy which makes us strong and thank you for making us your joy which inspired you to endure the cross.
The three of us arrived in Louisiana separately. Edmee’s connecting flight in Houston was canceled because of a storm. Hours had gone by, and her attempts to get on a flight were getting slim. In the midst of being stranded at the airport, she had met a mother and a son who had just flown in from Germany…
So many times when I heard of The Secret Place in the Bible, I felt as if it was a state of mind or a state of heart. I did not realize that this was a particular place that you go to, to pray to the Lord. One night, I experienced an intense dream where the Lord spoke to me saying: “You are far from My kingdom.” I woke up praying and asking Him to show me how to get closer because I knew that was something He wanted.
Once we arrived in Chicago, we met with the family that graciously hosted us. As we inquired about the rough areas, we were told that we did not need to go far. We were already in the middle of the ghetto! We then met Mariah and Yajaira who were staying in the same home with us…
What is unconditional love? Well, we can start by defining what “condition” means. It is a requirement, term, or requisite. Conditions are rules or requirements that must be followed or fulfilled to receive what we want. We can, therefore, define “unconditional” as something that holds no rules, terms or requisites. Unconditional love is limitless. The one who loves unconditionally loves no matter what.
Just the other day, I was driving through town to the grocery store and said to myself, “Hmm, what if I die right now or Jesus comes right at this moment?” I pondered deeply on whether I would be ready or not, then I quickly reassured myself by saying, “Bev: Girl! You’re ready!”
One Sunday evening, we were on our way back to the home of Edmee’s sister Gabrielle, who happens to live by the Chateau de Vincennes, a 14th- and 17th-century French royal fortress in the town of Vincennes. The historic site is surrounded by woods. There was a festival going on, and while we were driving Gabrielle pointed to the prostitutes…
Definition of Repentance – The action of repenting; sincere regret or remorse; to change one’s mind; to turn away. Example: “Each person who turns to God in genuine repentance and faith will be saved.” Synonyms: remorse, contrition, contriteness, penitence, regret, ruefulness, remorsefulness, shame, guilt
It was such a wonderful trip to France, from riding horses on a Sunday afternoon, to buying delicious fruits, vegetables and pastries at the grocery store, to staying with Edmee’s family, and being catered to for every breakfast and dinner by Edmee’s sister, Gabrielle. We felt ‘magnifique’! It was a dream come true to be in France.
Being patient is a lot easier than people may think it is. Most of the time it is simply mind over matter. There were so many times in my life where I would refuse to be patient, and the results would be worse than if I had just been patient.
We arrived in London on June 7, 2016. Our previous mission trip was in France, so it was like a breath of fresh air to be in a country where English is the first language. We no longer had to depend on Edmee to translate. Thank God!
As a born-again Christian that has surrendered their life to Jesus, you have a God-given advantage in life. So many people think that being a Christian is God’s way of chaining them down and removing their freedom.
On our recent trip to Chicago, I discovered what I call the “Shawshank Effect.” One night, while ministering, we experienced a breakthrough for which Edmee, with tears streaming down her face, said: “This is a ‘shawshank’!!!” The “Shawshank Effect” comes from the movie The Shawshank Redemption…
We had no idea what God had in store for us until the first day we arrived in Detroit. Bevelyn met a man on the plane who had told her about a good restaurant to go to for dinner in the city, so we decided to check it out. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we met a homeless man named Donald who sat in front of the dining establishment asking for money.
I have seen the power of prayer. It is real. When you pray a prayer that is not in the dominion of iniquity or the flesh, it indeed comes to pass. There was a time I would pray for something, and it seemed as if it would not get answered. It was as if praying was for nothing.
As soon as we arrived in LA, we took the opportunity to engage with our Uber driver and the lady who helped us at the car rental as Bevelyn had a specific word for her. The next day, Bevelyn wanted to hit Compton (you probably know why) and surprisingly we did not see much going on there.
The first day we arrived in San Francisco, we decided to go minister in The Tenderloin. We landed on Ellis Street and were pleasantly surprised to find Glide and YWAM. Those two Christian organizations have a tremendous impact in the area. On a side note, Glide was featured in the movie The Pursuit of Happyness.
